Baby Herschberger: Week 15

We traveled back from Florida on Monday and got back to work. Sadly we were home for just a couple days and then I got sick. :( So right now it’s Saturday afternoon and I’m sitting at home watching documentaries, drinking lots of water, and just being lazy and not feeling great.

Not a ton to report on this week - let’s make a list:

I only posted 3 pictures on Instagram all week! Alt text

Left to right: Duckies I got at the Dollar Tree to use as decorations at our party! Yummy peaches from Sweet Corn Charlie that I sautéed up with butter and maple syrup à la Pioneer Woman. Super yummy dinner that Kyle made last night (that I was only able to eat a few bites of), ocean perch with a corn puree and shrimp tacos with a cilantro lime sauce.

Alright, the week 15 update:

Weight gain: I’ve lost 3 lbs, the midwife said it’s OK and pretty common. My belly is growing a little though! I think in the next couple weeks it might be time for my first bump picture!

What I’ve been eating: Not very much at all, which makes me sad because I love eating!! Just haven’t had an appetite most of the week.

How I’ve been feeling: Ugh, not so good. Hopefully it’s just a head cold that I’ll get over and it’s not the new normal.

Baby/pregnancy purchases: Nothing this week, but I’ve been scoping out maternity clothes online trying to decide what the best purchases will be that will carry me through multiple seasons.

Babies growth and development status: Baby is the size of a navel orange, about 4 inches long, and supposedly this week its ears have moved from its neck to the right spots on the side of the head and its eyes are moving from the side of the head to the front of its face - thank goodness!
